Chinese company, TCL which is also the one behind the Alcatel OneTouch brand has announced the TCL Pride T500L smartphone in India. It is available in White colour option only exclusively on Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs 10499 (USD 158) and there is an offer of 5% cashback for customers with HDFB Banks Debit Cards and exchange offers.
The TCL Pride T500L is equipped with an Iris Retina Scanner which happens to be one of the highlight. The biometric authentication method has an Eyeprint identification method which allows unlocking the device without using password. It recognises a unique vein pattern in the human eye using the front facing camera.
Using the same design language as most Alcatel OneTouch smartphones, it sports a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD OGS display, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For additional storage up to 32GB, there is a microSD card slot onboard.
The Dual-SIM enabled TCL Pride T500L has a front facing 8-megapixels camera with f/2.2 aperture, 88-degrees wide angle lens and LED flash for selfies; the main camera is a 13-megapixels snapper with f/2.2 aperture, Sony Exmor RS sensor, 5P lens and LED flash.
Connectivity options available includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 4G LTE/3G HSPA+. The TCL Prime T500L measures 139.6 x 69.6 x 8.9mm in dimensions, weighs 130 grams in size, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3050mAh battery.
