Chinese tablet maker, Teclast has a new tablet for the market; the one in question is the Teclast X16 (Power and Pro) tablet which boots Dual OS – Windows and Android, powered by Intel’s Cherry Trail processor and packs up to 8GB of RAM.
The Teclast X16 Power is powered by an Intel Atom x7-Z8700 Cherry Trail processor, sports a 11.6-inch display with (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD resolution, 64GB internal storage space, 8GB of RAM and is priced equivalent to $425.
It is very rare to find tablets powered by a Cherry Trail processor utilise such huge amount of RAM considering they are meant to be affordable or low-cost slates.
Still keeping things affordable, there is a cheaper version of the above called Teclast X16 Pro which comes with lesser specs and pricing; it has the same key features but the processor this time is Intel Atom X5-Z8500 Cherry Trail, the RAM is now 4GB and the price is now equivalent to $350.
Both versions have a front facing 2MP camera, a 5MP rear facing camera, a microSD card slot (up to 64GB) and runs Dual OS – Android 5.1 Lollipop and Windows 10 OS; to switch from OS to another involves restarting the tablet. Some of the connectivity options onboard includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11n, microHDMI port, USB 3.0 port and micro USB port.
The Teclast X16 Power and X16 Pro are sold without Keyboard but comes with a Docking connector port for it and an optional stylus pen can also be used with the tablet.
