The Teclast X70 is one of the latest tablet from the Chinese OEM and asides its sub-$100 price tag, it also comes with a beautiful design, makes voice calls and supports 3G connectivity which is okay for the price.
It is a simple budget tablet for those looking for a device with huge display and the simple requirements of life – music, videos, surf the Web and even play the light games on it. The X70 is also the first tablet with the Intel Atom X3 processor.
Moving to the specs, The Teclast X70 sports a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) TFT LCD display, powered by an Intel Atom Sofia X3-C3130 (Intel Atom X3) processor with Mali-400 GPU, 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
The main camera is a 2MP unit and the front facing camera is a VGA (0.3MP) unit. Connectivity options on the device includes – micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and 3G. It comes with a Single SIM support, hence it’s voice calling and 3G connectivity support; runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 3200mAh battery which lasts almost a days of mixed usage.
It is unlikely the Teclast X70 makes it out of China; but whoever is interested can try purchasing through third party websites, however the $70 price tag would have increased a bit due to shipping cost.
