Teclast X89 Kindow Windows 10 Reading Tablet Debuts

China-based Teclast has officially announced a new tablet with the sole appeal edging towards reading and editing files or documents. Dubbed the Teclast X89 Kindow, the Windows 10 OS tablet feels like a blend of some of the features on Kindle and Windows. It is available online for a price tag around the US$ 100 price tag.

Running Windows 10 OS Home Edition (or possibly Dual Boot Android 5.1 Lollipop OS along); the Teclast X98 Kindow features a 7.5-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1440 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 240ppi. It has 4:3 aspect ratio and three physical buttons.

Under the hood, it relies on an Intel BayTrail Z3735F quad-core processor clocked up to 1.83GHz along with 2GB of RAM and ‎32GB built-in storage space. The reading tablet measures 8.9mm thick, weighs 318 grams and is backed by a 3500mAh.

For photography, there is a front facing VGA (0.3-megapixel) and rear facing 2-megapixel camera. Connec‎tivity options on the Teclast X98 Kindow includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WIDI, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, and HDMI. The slate also has built-in Dual Speaker for better audio output.
