Teclast has joined the Windows 10 train with the Teclast X98 Pro and the device is power packed as the company opts for the more powerful Intel Atom X5 (Cherry Trail) processor.
The Teclast X98 Pro is a major upgrade over most tablets from the Teclast X98 3G Air and Teclast X98 4G tablets. It runs Windows 10 Home Edition, but following the company’s tradition we might get to see a Dual Boot Version and a separate Android version in the future.
The slate is powered by an Intel Atom X5-Z850 (aka Cherry Trail) Quad-core processor clocked up to 2.24GHz paired with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a memory card reader.
The display is of 9.7-inch size with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels (QXGA) and a pixel density of 264ppi. Connectivity options on the Teclast X98 Pro includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, mini HDMI port and micro USB. On the rear lies the primary camera – a 5MP camera and the secondary camera is a 2MP camera for video chats.
The Teclast X98 Pro weighs 0.45kg (540 grams) and is backed by a 8000mAh battery. The tablet is currently listed on AliExpress by third party retailers for a price tag around $277 but that price is expected to drop once Teclast starts selling the tablet officially.
The tablet seems really nice. I also found a deal for it here: dealsnow.info/2015/08/14/teclast-x98-pro-best-windows-10-tablet-currently-available/
The price is cheaper than any other place and it also offers a 5$ discount. Considering Windows 10 is pre-installed on the device this is truly a best-buy 🙂
Meanwhile, it's too hot (literally)
