Tecno has teased a new smartphone set for launch soon but so far we have no lead nor specs on the smartphone. A new smartphone from Tecno Mobile has surfaced online with the moniker – Tecno Boom J7 and we believe it is the upcoming flagship from the company. The Boom J7 from the International perspective belongs to the lower midrange family but in Africa it will satisfy the need to have a Dual SIM enabled Android smartphone.
Moving to the internals, the Tecno Boom J7 specs includes – a Quad-core 1.3GHz processor (unknown chipset but possibly MediaTek) powering the device and the not-long dated Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. It sports a 5.0-inch (1280 X 720 pixels) HD IPS display with just 1GB of RAM on-board to handle tasks and the now standard 16GB space of internal storage for saving files.
A 8MP rear camera is on board with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.1 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot and there is 3G for cellular connectivity too.
Overall, it dimensions stands at 143mm ×71.9mm ×8.93mm (fairly bulky), Dual SIM functionality (Normal SIM + Micro SIM), the weight is unknown but it is backed by a 2020mAh battery. The Tecno Boom J7 is already available in Kenya and is expected to be available in Nigeria Soon. Pricing details are unknown yet.
