Few months after the launch of the Camon CM, Tecno Mobile’s camera-centric Camon series has seen new additions in form of the Tecno Camon X Pro and Camon X. The duo Camon X devices were launched at the Tecno 2018 Global Spring Launch along with the Tecno F1, F2 and Pop 1 budget Android smartphones.
The Tecno Camon X Pro comes equipped with a front facing 24MP camera with dual flash, AI beauty tool and support for Face ID, while the rear camera is a 16MP snapper with Ring Flash. It sports a 6-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 IPS LCD display with 2.5D curved glass, 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
The Camon X Pro comes pre-loaded with Android Oreo OS with HiOS 3.0 ontop and relies on octa-core Mediatek MT6763 (Helio P23) octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Asides Face ID, the smartphone also has a rear fingerprint sensor and power is supplied by a 3,750mAh fast charging battery.
The Tecno Camon X has the same rear camera, processor battery capacity and display as the Pro version but with a slightly lower 1440 x 720 pixels (HD+) resolution. It also comes pre-loaded with HiOS 3.0 and packs 3GB of RAM along with either 16GB or 32GB built-in storage.
Both the Camon X Pro and Camon X also support 4G LTE (FDD, CSFB) connectivity. The former will arrive in Bordeaux Red and Midnight Black colours while the latter will arrive in Champagne Gold, City Blue and Midnight Black colours. There is no word yet on pricing.
