In the era of Android Marshmallow and the Android N coming later this year, device makers selling in Africa are still churning out devices running the already dated Android Lollipop OS. Tecno Mobiles has launched one of such devices – called the Tecno L8 Plus.
The Tecno L8 Plus is a slightly improved version of the Tecno L8 with 5050mAh battery and also doesn’t support LTE networks. The only difference between the duo is the Plus version packs more RAM – 2GB while the original version pack just 1GB. The rest of the specs including USB OTG support are onboard.
The device sports a 5.5-inch 720p HD display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU and 16GB built-in storage. For photography, there is a rear facing 8-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats.
The Tecno L8 Plus is expected to handle operations faster than the original L8 with the improved RAM and should keep similar length of battery life since the capacity remain the same. It measures 154 x 77.5 x 8.85 mm in dimensions and is available in Nigeria for a price tag of N32,500.
Thanks to those that sent the tips in.
Tecno and their mumu stunts. Why not just go for Android Marshmallow.
I believe the L series have a target audience who OS update makes no meaning to ,improving stuffs like RAM, internal memory and battery life is more important to folks in this group .
