Teased as far back as March, Tecno Mobile has officially announced the company’s true flagship for 2015 – the Tecno Phantom 5; the announcement took place at the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
The Tecno Phantom 5 has a full metal body build, sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with a pixel density of around 401 ppi. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the device is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
Along with a microSD card slot, the Phantom 5 has a potential storage up to 96GB i.e 32GB internal storage and up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. On the back sits a 13MP Autofocus camera with Dual LED flash which performs well in low light conditions and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies.
Measuring approximately 151 x 75.8 x 6.8 mm in dimensions, the Tecno Phantom 5 has Dual Micro SIM slots, has a fingerprint sensor just below the main camera and the audiophiles will enjoy the Hi-Fi 2.0 coupled with Dolby Nature Surround Digital.
Connectivity options includes – USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS and 4G LTE/3G. The Tecno Phantom 5 is backed by a 3000mAh battery and available colour options includes – Luxury Champagne and Elegant Space Grey. The recommended retail price is N69,900 (~ $351).
