TECNO Mobiles has taken the wraps off the successor to the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus smartphones, the Tecno Phantom 8 in Middle East and Africa (MEA). The flagship device is equipped with a large front facing camera for selfies and dual rear cameras with 2x Optical and 10X Super Zoom.
Sporting a premium metal unibody with Diamond Fire design, the TECNO Phantom 8 sports a large 5.7-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resolution and depends on a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging that is expected to provide up to 150 minutes of talk time with only 10 minutes of charge.
For photography, the phablet has two rear cameras i.e a primary 12MP SONY wide angle sensor + secondary 13MP telephoto sensor with Tri LED Flash, real-time refocus and 4-in-1 skin brightening technology. The front camera is a 20MP snapper with large f/2.0 aperture and smart dual Selfie Flash.
On the inside, the Phantom 8 is powered by a 2.5GHz Mediatek Helio P25 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD). It is also equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm headphone jack, reversible USB Type-C port and hybrid SIM card slot.
Pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS with HiOS on top, the TECNO Phantom 8 supports 4G LTE (Cat. 6) networks, multiple bands and worldwide roaming (up to 200 countries and regions). In Dubai, it is priced at AED 1,399 in Dubai while in Nigeria it will retail for N128,000. Champagn Gold, Galaxy Blue and Phantom Black are the available colour options.
TECNO has partnered with SLOT to make the Phantom 8 exclusively available from SLOT shops across Nigeria from October 27 – 31, 2017. Other retailers around the country will commence sales from November 1, 2017.
