Last weekend, TECNO mobiles announced its latest Phantom flagship – the TECNO Phantom 8 at an unveiling event in Dubai. The company decided to skip the Phantom 7 as the direct successor to the Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus smartphones, to be on par with new phones from Samsung (Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8) and Apple (iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus).
The dual camera set-up on the Phantom 8 is its highlight feature. It is equipped a primary 12MP camera alongside a secondary 13MP camera while the front camera is a 20MP snapper with dual-mode selfie flash. The fingerprint scanner sits just below the main camera on the back and it is also equipped with a reversible USB Type-C port.
