Although Tecno began selling the Android Lollipop based Boom J8 smartphone couple of weeks ago, the company has announced another device, this time an entry-level one called the Tecno W4. The 5-incher which should go toe-to-toe with the Infinix Hot 3, is the first device from the company to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box and also the first among the local manufacturers to do that.
Housed in a plastic body with firm metal edges and measuring 8.5mm thick, the Tecno W4 sports a 5-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and is backed by a 2500mAh battery which is expected to deliver up to a day or more of usage. It is powered by a quad-core Mediatek processor along with 1GB of RAM, 16GB built-in expandable storage space, front 2-megapixels selfie camera and rear facing 8-megapixels but skips on 4G connectivity.
