Tecno Winpad 10 Windows tablet with Intel Atom SoC and 70000mAh battery launched

Almost three weeks after launching the Android Lollipop OS running Tecno Droipad 8 tablet; Tecno has its first ever Windows OS tablet in the market – the Tecno Winpad 10. In respect of the tablet market in Nigeria, the solid brands around are from Samsung and Apple and not forgetting that Innjoo also has some tablets to its name.

The Tecno Winpad 10 features a 10.1-inch (1280x 800 pixels) WXGA IPS touchscreen display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.83GHz with Intel Graphics paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internals storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.

On the rear, there is a 5MP autofocus camera and a front facing 2MP camera for video calls or selfies as you may like. Connectivity options on the tablet includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB port, 2G and 3G networks, micro HDMI port and the tablet also comes with a 3-in-1 detachable keyboard which is said to be usable in 3 forms.

The Tecno Winpad. 10 runs on Windows 8.1 OS which should be upgradable to Windows 10 when it is commercially available. The slate is backed by a 7000mAh battery which is expected to provide up to a day of usage.

Tecno is currently selling the Winpad 10 tablet at Slot Nigeria for a price earmarked to be around N57,000. The prices could vary once they find their way to online stores like Konga and Jumia.

    1. Yes for now, the 2-n-1 Winpad 10 tablet is selling for N57,000. We are expecting Jumia and/or Konga to start selling the device soon.

        1. Before you start any upgrade be sure to make a recovery drive, then proceed to Windows Update and see if  it is available for your device.‎
