The craze for smartphones with bigger screens got better in 2014, a saying goes thus – the bigger the display, the better the experience.
Basically a Phablet is a smartphone with a screen size between a typical smartphone and a tablet computer. It is coined from the words – Ph(one) and (t)ablet.
To be frank, there is still no clear definition of Phablet as some big sized devices – as some 7-inch sized devices are refered to as smartphones and some lesser screen sized devices are touted to be Phablets.

Nokia Lumia 1320 offers an affordable quality device with Phablet size display and 4G connectivity for a relative low price. It doesn’t have the best of camera but it has a big battery capacity, a good app suite and is a bargain for those who want a Windows Phone device.

9. Samsung Galaxy Note 3

All in all, with the OnePlus One you get a quality build, good screen display and a very strong battery performance all for a relative low price. The device also doesn’t run on the regular Android OS; it runs CyanogenMod from the box which makes it appealing to some and less appealing alike.

6. Huawei Ascend Mate 7

Apple iPhone 6 Plus uses a 5.5-inch display and is way lighter plus thinner than other Phablets in its range but it doesn’t come cheap. The device uses the A8 processor, a sleek aluminium build, supports NFC, can make payments using Apple Pay and TouchID fingerprint reader. For now this is the only phablet sized offering for iOS and more is expected to debut in subsequent announcements.
