The Hisense Vidaa Pad is one of the thinnest tablets yet. Better known for its entry-level phones and Android smart TVs; Hisense is looking to have a bite into the tablet market with the Hisense Vidaa Pad (Hisense Vidaa Pad F5281). The market is however not short of thin tablet – there is the Dell Venue 8, 7000 (6mm), Sony Xperia Z2 (6.4 mm) and Samsung Galaxy Tab S (6.6 mm).
Hisense didn’t reveal too much about its upcoming tablet, so details about the display, processor, storage and other basic specification. The Hisense Vidaa Pad is said to measure just 6.1mm in thickness which is the same thickness as the iPad Air 2 and weighs 320 grams. Other features includes – front facing speakers, a probable 7.9-inch display and the listing suggests it would be powered by the most powerful chipset in the Chinese market (MediaTek SoC).
The Hisense Vidaa Pad would be available in Grey, Gold, Brown and Red colour options. There is no word on pricing and availability but as always the device would debut in its home country, China.
Eagle eyed observers are tipping the Hisense Vidaa Pad to having the similar specs with the Hisense Sero 8 Pro which is going on sale in November.
The Hisense Sero 8 Pro measures 6.35mm in thickness and features a 8-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display, RockChip RK3288 SoC with cores Cortex-A17 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and a 4500mAh battery.
