Lenovo has added a new smartphone to the company’s A Series family of device. The Lenovo RocStar (A319) as it is called is a Music-focussed smartphone for the Indian market. Lenovo is touting the the Dolby Digital Plus audio and ‘superior quality’ earphones that the smartphone posses.
The device comes pre-installed with Lenovo DOit apps – SECUREit, SYNCit and the SHAREit apps. The SECUREit help users track, analyse and optimise their data usage; SHAREit app allows for fast data transfer between phones without the need for Wi-Fi or mobile network; and SYNCit to let users backup their date permanently of all their data and it is easily accessible from any device on demand.
Asides the Doit apps, the Lenovo RocStar (A319) also comes preloaded with Guvera music app with unlimited streaming features and a library of more than 10 million songs.

In terms of specs the device doesn’t offer much with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display; dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, a microSD card for expansion (up to 32GB), GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio port, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. On the rear is a 5MP fixed focus camera with flash and a 2M front camera is also on-board.
The Lenovo RocStar (A319) measures 123.5 x 63.8 x 10.2mm, supports Dual-SIM functionality and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The device is powered by a 1500mAh battery which is tipped to 15.5 days of standby time and up to 4 hours talk time on 2G networks.
The Lenovo RocStar (A319) is available from the company’s website store for Rs 6120 with shipping expected from October 28th. Some sources claim the device is available for Rs 6499 from different retail outlets. Expect the Rocstar (A319) in Black, Red and White colour options.
