The Teclast T98 4G and Teclast X98 Air 3G are both 9.7-inch display sized tablets released in China recently. Asides both devices having similar build and appearance similar to the iPad Mini, they are also cheaper.
The Teclast T98 4G features a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution IPS display, powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT8752T ARM Cortex A53 SoC with ARM Mali T764 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Other specs details includes – Surprisingly a 13MP rear camera, a front facing 2MP camera, supports LTE connectivity alongside Dual Band Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, GPS options. The tablet is expected to run Android 4.4 kitkat OS.
The Teclast X98 Air 3G on the other hand is very similar to the T98 4G in terms of some of its specs and build. It is the successor to the Telecast X98 Air and packs an Intel Atom SoC. Talking about the specs, it also uses a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution IPS display, powered this time by an Intel Atom Z3736F processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microUSB port, miniHDMI port and a 8500mAh battery. Like its predecessor, the Teclast X98 Air 3G could run on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS or Windows 8.1 OS depending on choice.
The Teclast T98 4G costs around €185 and the Teclast X98 Air 3G costs between €179 and €196 for both OS variants.
