After so many weeks of teasing an upcoming smartphone, Infinix has finally taken the wraps off the Infinix Zero 2 at a launch event in Lagos today. The device is now lightweight, slim and as tough as ever compared to its predecessors.
Commenting on the launch, Jonathan Doerr , Co-Managing Director Jumia Nigeria, said;

Even before its launch, the number of enquiries centered on the Next Hero has been awe-inspiring and I can confirm that the Infinix Zero 2 is actually a befitting and terrific sequel to its predecessor, the Infinix Zero.”
The Infinix Zero 2 (Infinix Zero 2 X509) comes with a simplistic body deisgn and comes covered with kevlar – a material which is bullet proof, stronger than steel and resists high temperatures up to 160 (higher than the boiling point of water). It sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
Handling tasks on the device is 2GB of RAM and there is an option to choose either 16GB or 32GB space of internal storage. On the rear there is a 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and smart gesture; the front camera is a 5MP snapper for selfies.
The Infinix Zero 2 comes with Dual SIM support (3G and 2G), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Hotspot connectivity, measures 6.7mm in thickness (145 x 71.5 x 6.7mm), weighs 118 grams, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 2300mAh battery. It would be available via flash sales on Jumia Nigeria for a price earmarked to be around N35,900. We will bring more information in subsequent posts.
