Trekstor has launched a new affordable Android tablet – the Trekstor SurfTab Breeze 9.6 in Italy. The tablet which measures 9.9 mm thick and weighs up to 520 grams; will be available from physical and online retail stores this summer in both Wi-Fi only and 3G variants; the former costs EUR 109 while the latter costs a bit more at EUR 139.
Moving to the specs, the Trekstor SurfTab Breeze 9.6 sports a 9.6-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (WXGA) and 16:10 aspect ratio. On the inside, it relies on a quad-core Intel Atom x3-C3200RK processor clocked up to 1.1GHz with Mali-450 MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space.
The tablet has a rear facing 2-megapixel camera, front facing 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera, microSD card slot (for storage expansion up to 128GB) and boots Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. Connectivity options available includes – 3G (optional), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB 2.0.
There is also Miracast onboard for mirroring or streaming from supported smartphones, tablets, TVs and more. There is also a possibility that the 3G models of the Trekstor SurfTab Breeze 9.6 support call function, but for some making calls from a bigger screened devices look weird.
