With Twitter’s new ‘Voice Tweet’ feature, users can record up to 140 seconds (1 min 40 secs) of audio per tweet and once that time elapses, a new recording is created to form a thread. To get started, simply click on compose and select the new waveform icon. Once that is done, select the button at the bottom of the screen to record.

Once the user is done recording, it is time to head back to compose and send the tweet. The recording shows as a card with user’s profile picture in the tweet and Twitter confirms that audio tweets will appear in the timeline just like normal tweets. FInally, only IOS users can listen to the audio playback by tapping on the image with the recording. Twitter has not made any mention when this feature will be available for Android users.
