Chinese Manufacturer, Ulefone has announced a new relatively mid-range smartphone called the Ulefone Metal. Taking a cue from the name, the smartphone is clothed in an all metal body which underwent CNC cutting and grit blasting techniques for delicate texture, curved edges and comfortable grip.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. It sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Dual SIM enabled Ulefone Metal runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is backed by a sizeable SONY 3050mAh Lithium-Ion Polymer battery with up to 320 hours of standby time. For photography, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with Sony IMX149 sensor and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies.
Just below the main camera sits the fingerprint sensor which not only unlocks the device but also locks apps on the device. It measures 143 x 71 x 9.35 mm, weighs 155 grams with the battery and supports 23, 3G and 4G LTE networks.
Connectivity options on the Ulefone Metal includes – Wi-Fi802.11 b/g/n/, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/BDS/GLONASS/Compass and USB OTG while Sensors options includes – Hall Effect Sensor, Gravity Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor and Touch Sensor.
