Ulefone has finally announced the Ulefone Power that promises up to 4 days of battery life on normal usage. The phablet sized smartphone with a big capacity battery which surfaced back in July will arrive in Dark Blue, Silver White and Wooden colours. No word on pricing and availability yet.
Backed by a non-removable 6050mAh Sony-made Li-Polymer battery, the Ulefone Power lasts up to 4 days of normal usage, 63 hours of talk time, 75 days of standby time and can also make up to 2 hours call on just 5 minutes charge. For quick charging, the Pump Express Plus quick charge technology and 9V/2A~3A charger comes in handy to charge the cells full within 2 hours.
The aluminium metal-clad device sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3, powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 MP3 GPU, 3GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with Sony IMX214 Exmor RS sensor, F/1.8 lens & Dual-LED flash; and a front facing 5MP camera with OmniVision OV2680 sensor for selfies. The fingerprint sensor on the Ulefone Power can be found below the main camera and there is a smart key on the side to launch the camera or the voice recorder.
It supports Dual Hybrid SIM slots (Dual standby, Dual 4G LTE) with the option to use two SIM cards or a SIM card and a microSD card. Connectivity options on the Power includes – 4G LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/A-GPS. There is also the IR Blaster along with an app which makes the device usable as a remote control for some home products.
The Ulefone Power weighs 190 grams in size and measures 155 x 77 x 9.5mm in dimensions; boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS upgrade promised by February 2016.
