Ulefone, one of the guests at the Global Sources Electronics Fair 2017 in Hong Kong, showcased two new affordable dual camera smartphones – the Ulefone S8 and Ulefone S8 Lite. Both options share similar design and will arrive in May, in four colour options – Black, Gold, Gray and White.
Pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the Ulefone S8 has a 5.3-inch HD 2.5D In-cell display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Dual SIM, fingerprint sensor (rear) and a sizeable 3000mAh battery. It has an aluminium body frame with beveled corners and polycarbonate backcover with matter finish.
On the inside, it is equipped with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP primary camera aided by a secondary front 5MP camera with Dual LED flash, alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.
Connectivity options on the device include – 4G LTE (Band 20), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm jack and USB 2.0. The Ulefone S8 Lite is a tone down model of the S8 with a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 SoC (3G Networks Only) clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM and 8GB built-in storage (expandable).
