Chinese brand, Ulefone has a new budget smartphone in the market called the Ulefone U007. The 5-inch device was surprisingly announced couple of days ago without any previous announcement, costs $59.99 on presale.
Moving to the specs, the Ulefone U007 sports a 5-inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a carefully crafted unibody build with brushed aluminium metal finish. It is equipped with a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6580A processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space.
In the imaging segment, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with Sony IMX149 sensor, 5-piece lens unit and f/2.0 aperture, that can take up to 13MP cameras. The front camera is a 2MP snapper but takes up to 5MP. It has Dual SIM slots and a separate microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
The Cubot U007 supports 2G and 3G networks but not 4G LTE connectivity due to choice of the processor and presumably to keep the price very low. It has standard connectivity options such as Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, runs the latest Android OS yet – Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is backed by a 2200mAh Lithium-ion polymer battery.
