Ulefone, one of the less-popular Chinese brands, has listed up a new budget 4G smartphone – the Ulefone U008 Pro. This new model follows the U007 and U007 Pro which had in the past said to be based on the ‘James Bond’ franchise. There is no info on pricing and availability as at press time.
Housed in an all-metal body, the Ulefone U008 Pro sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It relies on a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space (up to 128GB via microSD).
The main camera is a 8MP snapper (interpolated to 13MP) with LED flash and 5-elements lens alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The device supports 4G LTE (FDD-LTE: Band 1, 3, 7, 8, 20) networks as well as Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, and GPS/GLONASS.
Pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, the Ulefone U008 Pro has Dual Micro SIM slots (4G + 2G), a physical home button and backed by a 3500mAh SONY Li-Polymer battery that is expected to provide up to 360 hours of standby time. It measures 148.2 x 72.8 x 9.5 mm, weighs 170 grams and arrives in Black, Grey and Rose Golden colour options.
