Last Month, Ultimate Ears, a brand of Logitech International introduced two new portable smart speakers – Ultimate Ears BLAST and Ultimate Ears MEGABLAST with built-in Amazon Alexa hands-free voice control. The duo are IP67-certified (waterproof and dustproof) and deliver immersive 360-degree sound.
The BLAST and MEGABLAST speakers connect via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and taps into the features of Alexa when connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot to voice control or play music from streaming services, control smart home devices and do much more. Over time, the Ultimate Ears app onboard gets smarter and better to deliver new experiences and feature updates.
The Ultimate Ears MEGABLAST is currently the loudest speaker from the brand’s speaker collection with a max sound pressure level of 93 dBC. It has a battery life of up to 16 hours (the BLAST lasts up to 12 hours of usage) and is also 40-percent louder than the Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM.
The BLAST and MEGABLAST are expected to be available in US, UK, Germany and Austria for a SRP of $229.99 and $299.99 respectively in Graphite (Black), Blizzard (White), Blue Steel, Merlot (Red), Mojito (Green) and Lemonade (Yellow) colours. The company also launched a $39.99-priced optional charging dock for the speakers called Ultimate Ears POWER UP.
