Ultimate Ears has announced its next generation portable wireless speakers – the Ultimate Ears BOOM 3 and Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3. Both models feature balanced audio and 360-degree sound and a redesigned exterior with a two-toned, high performance fabric.
The Ultimate Ears BOOM 3 and MEGABOOM 3 feature a new Magic button feature which allows the user control (play, pause and skip) music directly from the speaker. The button also allows the user access their playlists on Deezer Premium and Apple Music (via the redesigned BOOM & MEGABOOM by Ultimate Ears iOS mobile app).
The speakers are now dustproof, drop proof and waterproof (IP67-rating), and are compatible with the Ultimate Ears POWER UP charging dock for wireless charging. To charge the speaker upright, the USB port has also been repositioned and the Bluetooth range has increased up to 150 feet.
The BOOM 3 and MEGABOOM 3 last up to 15 hours and 20 hours of battery life respectively and come in Lagoon (Blue), Night (Black), Sunset (Red) and Ultraviolet (Purple) colours. The BOOM & MEGABOOM mobile app offers the PartyUp feature which allows the speaker pair up to 150 speakers simultaneously.

The Ultimate Ears BOOM 3 is priced starting at US$ 149.99; the MEGABOOM 3 starting at US$ 199.99 and the POWER UP charging dock starting at US$ 39.99. They are scheduled to be available in the U.S and in a number of countries in Europe and Asia.
