The UMI EMAX is finally available to pre-order; the device was announced in April at the Asia-World expo. The EMAX is expected to compete against the Meizu M1 Note but bestin-terms of its huge battery capacity.
The UMI EMAX sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with Mali T760MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of expandable internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
The main camera is a 13-megapixels Autofocus camera with Dual Color LED flash and a front facing 5-megapixels camera is available for selfies and video chats. The Emax supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS connectivity options. It comes with Dual SIM slots (with Dual Standby) and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
The UMI EMAX measures 52.6 x 76.2 x 8 mm in dimensionss, weighs 150 grams in size and is backed by an ample sized 3780mAh battery which should last several hours of usage on a single charge. It is currently available through various third-party retailers for a price range between $170 and $190 which is a decent amount for the offering.
