UMI has started teasing and releasing detailed information about an upcoming security-packed smartphone – the UMI Iron Pro. The phablet sized device succeeds the UMI Iron phone and will come with three forms of biometric authentication similar to the premium targeted ZTE Axon series devices.
The highlight of the UMI Iron Pro is that it comes with the three known forms of biometric authentication. Along with an Iris Scanner (located on the front camera), the device will also have fingerprint sensor (located on the rear side) and voice recognition or lock functionality.
It will sport the same body design as the UMI Iron, a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage space and an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 64-bit processor which are all reminiscent of its predecessor. It however ditchs the microUSB 2.0 port for USB Type-C Port (possibly with USB 3.0 speed).
Looking at the UMI Iron Pro from another approach, it is basically the same device (UMI Iron) with some notable improvements such as the USB Type-C, fingerprint sensor and voice lock or recognition features. We will bring you more updates about the device when it becomes available.
