UMiDIGI (UMi Digital) has confirmed the launch of its new mid-tier phablet – the UMiDIGI C Note 2, successor to the C Note released in March. It is the first smartphone to come equipped with the company’s UMi OS based on Android Nougat OS (upgradable to Android 8.0) and depends on a 4,000mAh battery, which should provide up to two days of usage without charging and 18 days of standby time.
Housed in a high-end polycarbonate body with uniform spray-painted finish, the UMiDIGI C Note 2 sports a 5.5-inch SHARP made display with Full HD screen resolution, 2.5D Arc screen and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 glass protection. The fingerprint sensor sits just below the display in the front home button.
Under the hood, the device comes equipped with an octa-core Mediatek MT6750T Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD). In the camera aspect, it has a main 13MP SAMSUNG S5K3L8 rear camera with 0.3s phase focusing and a front facing 5MP GC5005 camera for selfies.
The UMiDIGI C Note 2 measures 155. 8 x 76 . 5 x 8 mm, weighs 160 grams and supports 4G LTE networks (B1, B3, B7, B20). There is no word yet on pricing and availability.
