Unannounced Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Sony Xperia M5 surfaces in Live Images

Sony already has an event scheduled for August 3rd however both smartphones expected to be announced at the event has leaked online. The Sony Xperia M5 joins the already known Sony Lavender or Xperia C5 Ultra, with both going official in a few days time.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 both run Android Lollipop OS, are available in Dual SIM options, have 13MP front facing cameras and a FHD resolution display. The former has a 6-inch bezel-less display and 2930mAh battery while the latter has a 5-inch display and 2600mAh battery.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra

Previously known as Sony Lavender, the phablet sized Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD IPS display with almost non-existent bezels (0.8mm thin), aluminium frames around the sides, a plastic rear cover and runs Android Lollipop OS.

Under the hood, the Xperia C5 Ultra is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Mali 760 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. On the rear, there is a front and rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash apiece.

Connectivity options on the device includes – NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and 4G LTE/3G. The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra weighs 187 grams, supports Dual SIM slots and is backed by a 2930mAh battery with Stamina mode. The device is priced between 21,000 – 22,000 RUB (~$343 – $359)

Sony Xperia M5

The 5-inch sized Sony Xperia M5 has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio X10 (MT6795T) 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. 16GB space of internal storage is available and there is a microSD card slot onboard for more.

The Xperia M5 should excel well in the camera segment as it has 21.5MP f/2.2 rear camera with IMX230 Exmor RS sensor with LED flash and can record 4K video. The front camera is a 13MP snapper for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE/3G, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n.

The Sony Xperia M5 is IP65/IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, it is available SIM and Dual SIM options for different regions, runs Android Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2600mAh battery with Stamina mode. It is reportedly priced between 24,000 – 25,000 RUB (~ $390 – $406); Black, Gold and Silver are the available colours.
