Upcoming HP Slatebook 14 is a 14-inch Android Laptop With Tegra Quad-Core Processor

HP is expected to launch its first Android Laptop the HP Slatebook 14, a 14-inch laptop with touchscreen display. HP has infact not officially launched this device but Notebook Italia revealed the details of the upcoming tablet via a promotional video on the HP website.

The Slatebook 14 features a 14-inch full HD touchscreen 1080p display, powered with NVIDIA Tegra quad-core processor (could be the new Tegra K1 or the Tegra 4), HDMI port, Micro SD slot, audio jack and 3 USB ports. The device according to the video will have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Bluetooth, 3G, 802.11b/g/n Wifi and beats audio.

The device runs fully on Android OS with the Android 4.3 or android 4.2 spotted on the device, some keys on the keyboard has been replaced to accommodate Android functions such as the Recent, home and back keys. It also has access to the Google Play store which currently has over a million Android apps so accessing applications is not a problem at all.

Also observed is the fact that, Google supported Android on this Slatebook 14. The search giant is reportedly pushing the Chrome OS for notebooks and desktop computers while recommending Android for phones and tablets.

The pricing, availability date and markets the device would be available in has not been revealed but with the Computex 2014 which starts on June 3 around the corner HP might announce the device pretty soon.
