Japanese company, UPQ Phone has announced an enhanced version of the UPQ Phone A01 – the UPQ Phone A01X. The device is available SIM lock free and has started selling for a price tag equivalent to US$129 (excluding tax) in four colour options – Black, Blue with Green, White BG and White.
The UPQ Phone A01X brings improvements over the UPQ Phone A01; the storage capacity has been increased to 16GB, a new colour – White BG has been added and the display touch panel has been improved from two-point to 5-point multi-touch. The rest of the key features are seemingly the same.
The device sports a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and a pixel density of 218ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. There is a microSD/SDHC card slot for external storage support (up to 32GB).
Measuring 133 x 66 x 8.6mm in dimensions and weighing 118 grams in size; the UPQ Phone A01X runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, has Dual Micro SIM slots and is backed by a 1800mAh battery. Connectivity options onboard includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, FM Radio and 4G LTE (Band 1/3/19/28)/3G (B1/B19).
For photography, there is a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats; and a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with LED flash.
