VAIO has announced its first ever Windows 10 (Windows Phone) smartphone called Phone Biz. The VAIO Phone Biz is will be available Unlocked (or SIM free) starting April 2016 in the Japanese market for a price tag equivalent to US$ 424 (JPY 50,000). Availability outside the home market is highly unlikely.
Running Windows 10 Mobile OS, the VAIO Phone Biz might no be as high-end as the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL but it has almost all the OS has to offer such as Cortana, Continuum, Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, and several other Windows universal apps such as Line, Skype for Business, EverNote, e.t.c
The device has a body made from Aluminium metal and Tempered Glass, sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD LCD display and relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space.
Connectivity options available includes – USB OTG, Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.6). The VAIO Phone Biz also has front facing 5-megapixel camera, rear facing 13-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot for extra storage space and backed by a 2800mAh battery.
