Verizon Wireless has announced a new tablet, the Ellipsis 10; the 10-inch sized slate packs a battery capacity which ranks it as the current tablet with the largest capacity battery of any 10-inch tablet on Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
Moving to the details, Verizon’s Ellipsis 10 sports a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and has a body covered with Anti-Fingerprint coating. The choice of processor is not stated but it has 16GB space of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
The tablet has a front facing 2MP camera, a rear-facing 5MP camera capable of capturing Full HD videos, supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network and boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It is backed by an ample-sized 9100mAh battery that is expected to provide up to 25 hours of normal usage (or less depending on usage).
Verizon is marketing the Ellipsis 10 as the ideal tablet for gamers, parents on the go, business power user and events like when going on vacation or going on business trips. The new tablet joins the Ellipsis Kids tablet which comes with parental controls and kids focused features plus games.
As expected, the Ellipsis 10 is available exclusively from the carrier for $299.99 when purchased off-contract; $12.49 per month for 24 months on-contract or $199.99 when purchased with a new two-year activation plan.
