US based, Verizon Wireless has announced an entry-level phone LG Lancet for Android; the device originally ran Windows Phone OS (WP 8.1). Asides the change of OS, the device has basically the same specs. It would be available via the carrier for a price tag around $120 in just Black colour option only.
Now running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, the LG Lancet for Android (LG VS820) sports a 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
The device manages just about 8GB space of native storage space but has a microSD card slot that accepts up to 64GB (or more). For photography, there is a rear facing 8 megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 0.3 megapixels camera for video chats et Selfies.
Connectivity options on the LG Lancet for Android includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4). Verizon has also added VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) which provides Advanced calling 1.0 on the network. The whole shebang derives its power from a 2100mAh battery.
