Motorola and Verizon has already teamed up this year for the DROID brand of smartphones – the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Motorola Droid Maxx 2. The ‘Big Red’ as Verizon is sometimes called, is planning to make a limited Red colour version of the Droid Turbo 2 which will be only be made available to the company employees.
Verizon might taken down the listing, but the company will affirmatively dish out the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Employee Edition which will come in 64GB internal storage option and as the name suggests, will not be sold to the end customers unless through unofficial means, auctions and more.
The specs won’t be changing though, the Droid Turbo 2 Employee Edition has the same 5.4-inch QHD shatterproof display made possible by the Moto Shattershield, powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 5MP front facing camera for selfies and a 21MP rear facing camera.
Going back in history, this is not the first time the carrier will be launching an ‘Employee Edition’ of a Droid smartphone like the DROID Razr Maxx and the HTC DROID DNA which both debuted in Red Colour. These edition are inscribed with a special number and comes with a lovely packaging box.
