Verizon Wireless has announced and commenced sales of the LG K8V, the company’s version of the LG K8 LTE. The Marshmallow running device is available from the US carrier for a price tag of USD 144 in Onyx colour option only.
The LG K8V (LG VS500) sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS LCD display resulting in a pixel density of 294ppi and is backed by a removable 2125mAh Lithium-ion battery. It relies on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 (MSM8909) processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1.5GB of RAM.
Internal storage space stands at 16GB out of which less than 10GB (9.36GB) is available to the user but additional space up to 128GB can be added via the microSD card. In the imaging segment, there is a rear facing 8MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP cameras for selfies.
The camera app has features like Touch and Shoot, Quick Share, Burst Shot, Interval Shot and Gesture Shot while the device itself has QuickMemo+, Capture+, Knock On, Easy Home, Content Lock, Knock Code and the keys – Power/Lock and Volume Keys are placed on the rear.
The LG K8V measures 144.5 x 72.39 x 8.38 mm in dimensions, weighs 134 grams, has a Single Nano SIM slot and supports various network bands including Verizon Wireless 4G LTE (Cat.4) network with Voice over LTE (VoLTE). Other connectivity options onboard includes Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Wi-Fi Direct and micro USB.
