Although Vernee has started selling the Uber-partnered Thor in the market; the company has also announced a Lite version of the Vernee Apollo with 6GB RAM. Dubbed the Vernee Apollo Lite, the phablet sized device will be available by May for a price tag of $199.99.
Housed in a full metal uni-body build, the Vernee Apollo Lite sports a 5.5-inch ARC display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resolution and a pixel density of 401ppi. It is still powered by the Deca-core Mediatek Helio X20 MT6797 processor and the RAM memory has been dropped to 4GB.
The rest of the specs includes – front 5-megapixel camera, rear facing 16-megapixel camera, 32GB built-in storage space, USB Type-C port, Hybrid Dual SIM slots, Compass, Gyroscope and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The battery capacity is unknown and it is expected to support 4G LTE connectivity.
Looking at the above, the Vernee Apollo Lite has scaled down in almost all the areas – from the screen resolution to RAM, built-in storage and cameras (front and rear) but the body design remains the same as expected. Isn’t 4GB RAM too much for a Lite version at this stage? Vernee doesn’t think so.
I wonder when Vernee produces their own signature phone. In terms of
rugged phone, I supports NOMU as always for its truly excellent rugged
phones.
Not bad in terms of the hardware configuration, but I’m not exactly sure
about this phone for its professionalism, as this is the first rugged
phone Vernee made. I think I would prefer to use T18 from NOMU, after
all it produces rugged phone for a long time.
