British Luxury smartphone maker, Vertu continues its partnership with another British-built car manufacturer Bentley. Both companies just announced their second smartphone – the Vertu Signature for Bentley.
The Vertu Signature for Bentley is a follow up to the Vertu for Bentley Android smartphone which was announced around October last year. The device is said to be inspired by the Bentley Mulsanne Speed car and some of the materials used on the phone are brought forward from the car.
The phone is crested with the Bentley flying B logo on the front and has a sapphire face piece below the keypad. It also comes with some pre-loaded Bentley images, exclusive wallpapers and more. Each phone can also be configured using the Vertu Made to Order online configurator where consumers can tweak the design of the phone to match their Bentley Car leather and stitching colours.
Talking about the leather, there are choices of Beluga, Linen, Fire Glow, Burnt Oak, Imperial Blue, Saddle, Hotspur or New market Tan. Vertu is not revealing much information about the specifications of the smartphone; but the display and the number pad looks small.
The Vertu Signature for Bentley is expected to go official by September 18th but would be showed off at different events beforehand – the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, etc.
The device is priced around £14,500 which is equivalent to $22,800. Thats a lot of money to pay for a luxury smartphone made to look like a feature phone.
PS: £14,500 is almost equivalent to 4.6 million in Naira.
