Couple of weeks ago, Infinix Mobility introduced the Hot 3 to the market to succeed the Hot 2 (Android One) smartphone. Clearly a lot changed when we did our comparison of the Hot 2 vs Hot 3 on the basic of their specifications – OS, Display & Design, Battery Capacity, memory and processing power.
Doing a quick elaborate recap of the specs, the 5.5-inch Infinix Hot 3 has the same 720p HD display as the 5-inch Infinix Hot 2 but comes slimmer and lighter with brighter screen. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is more sustainable than the 2200mAh battery on the predecessor.
Both the Hot 2 and Hot 3 run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box; while the Hot 2 is a member of Google’s Android One family which happen to receive timely software updates, the Hot 3 comes with the company’s XUI skin ontop which can be found on recent Infinix devices such as the Note 2 and Zero 3.
Although the camera sensors are similar (8MP + 2MP), the Infinix Hot 3 outshine the Infinix Hot 2 by donning a front camera flash which always comes helpful when taking selfies or in low light conditions.
