Vivo has announced the launch of a new iQOO branded smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G mobile platform. The iQOO 7, as it is known, joins the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Galaxy S21 5G series (US models) using the same high-end processor. It comes pre-loaded with OriginOS (based on Android 11) and depends on a 4,000mAh battery (2x 2,000mAh lithium batteries) with 120W FlashCharge Fast Charging.
The Vivo iQOO 7 has a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera and the battery, which charges via the USB-C port, goes from 0 to 100 in 15 minutes. It supports LPDDR5 RAM (up to 12GB), UFS 3.1 storage (up to 256GB, non-expandable), NFC, HDR10+, and dual Band 5G (NSA/SA) connectivity.
Photography is handled by a triple rear camera setup made up of a 48MP (f/1.79) main sensor paired with a 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide and 13MP (f/2.46) portrait sensors. The device is available in two configurations: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage (CNY 3,798) and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage (CNY 4,198). Vivo is also releasing a special BMW M Motorsport edition with only 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, alongside the Black Mirror and Latent Blue colours.
