Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has finally announced its new iQOO gaming smartphone in China. The Vivo iQOO is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core mobile platform paired with multiple RAM and storage configurations: the 6GB + 128GB for CNY 2,998; 8GB + 128GB for CNY 3,298; 8GB + 256GB for CNY 3,598 and 12GB + 256GB for CNY 4,298.
The Vivo iQOO has a 6.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with waterdrop notch, 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, in-display fingerprint scanner and 3D glass body with rear LED strip. All models (except the 6GB option – 22.5W) feature 44W Vivo Super FlashCharge tech, which charges the phone’s 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 50% in 15 minutes and 100% in 45 minutes.
The smartphone has a single 12MP selfie camera in the front notch and a triple rear camera setup with 12MP Sony IMX363 standard, 13MP 120-degree wide-angle and 2MP sensors. It also has a USB Type-C port, headphones jack, NFC support and has a vapor cooling system which cools the phone down during intense gaming sessions (Cooling Turbo).
The rest of the Multi Turbo feature include AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo and a Game Turbo feature which boosts frame rates in games. It comes pre-loaded with FunTouch OS 9 (based on Android 9 Pie) and comes in Electric Blue and Lava Orange colours.
