Vivo’s iQOO sub-brand has unveiled a new affordable 5G smartphone under the iQOO Neo series in China. The iQOO Neo 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile platform paired with three RAM and UFS 3.1 storage combinations: 8GB + 128GB (CNY 2,499/US$ 385), 8GB + 256GB (CNY 2,699/US$ 415) and 12GB + 256GB (CNY 2,999/US$ 461). It arrives in Cloud Blue, Night Black and Pixel Orange colour options.

The iQOO Neo 5 is built around a 6.62-inch AMOLED E3 display with FHD+ resolution, 91.45% screen-to-body ratio, 120Hz screen refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, in-display fingerprint sensor and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display also has HDR10/HDR10+ certification, can attain up to 1300 nits peak brightness and feature the 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera in the centre punch-hole notch.
Photography is handled by a triple camera setup made up of a 48MP (f/1.79, OIS, Sony IMX598) primary sensor paired with 13MP (f/2.2, 120o FOV) ultra-wide and 2MP (f/2.4, 2.5cm) macro sensors. The rest of the specs include 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 6, stereo speakers, Jovi AI assistant, Hi-Fi audio, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. It comes pre-loaded with OriginOS (based on Android 11) and depends on a 4,400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
