Vivo has officially announced the Vivo V3 and Vivo V3 Max smartphones in India. Both devices follow the Vivo X6 and X6 Plus devices which debuted recently in China, the specs are centred towards mid-range to high-end and the prices are Rs. 17,980 (US$ 271) and Rs. 23,980 (US$ 361) respectively.
The Vivo V3 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 MSM8939v2 64-bit processor clocked at 1.7GHz with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and backed by a 2550mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Vivo V3 Max sports a bigger 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) resolution, powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.
Both devices sports full metal body build, Hi-Fi quality audio experience, microSD card slot (up to 128GB), rear facing 13-megapixels camera with PDAF and LED flash, front facing 8-megapixels camera for selfies and fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device in 0.2s (goes up to 0.5s in Sleep Mode).
Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The Vivo V3 and V3 Max run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Funtouch OS 2.5 and also have ultra powerful speakers with custom-designed Smart Amp tech and home-cinema style amplifier chip.
