Official: Vivo X20 Plus UD with In-display Fingerprint sensor

Last week, Vivo officially launched the first ever smartphone to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Vivo X20 Plus UD has the same specs as the original Vivo X20 Plus, however, the location of the fingerprint sensor has been moved to allow the user unlock the device via one-touch fingerprint directly on the screen.

The ‎Vivo X20 Plus UD comes integrated with a Clear ID under-glass fingerprint sensor from Synaptics in its OLED display. The sensor is compatible with various mobile payment platforms such as Alipay and WeChat, and ‎doesn’t get in the way of other actions being carried out on the screen.

Donning a slightly refreshed body design, the X20 Plus UD (the UD could mean “Under Display”) has a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 4GB of RAM, 128GB built-in storage, 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with DualPixel Phase Detection and 12MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. ‎

The Vivo X20 Plus UD comes pre-loaded with FunTouch OS 3.2 (b‎ased on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS) and backed by a 3,905mAh battery. It is priced at CNY 3,598 (USD 565) in China and ‎will go on massive sales starting February 1.
