Following the launch of the Vivo Y95 in the Philippines and Vivo Z1 Lite (Youth Edition) in China, the Chinese company also unveiled the Vivo X23 Symphony Edition – a cheaper variant of the original X23 – with lesser chipset, memory and new AI-enhanced selfie camera.
The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition comes pre-loaded with the same FunTouch OS 4.5 (based on Android Oreo OS) and relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform paired with 6GB of RAM. The 128GB built-in storage remains the same with no microSD card slot.
The front waterdrop notch now houses a new sensor that reaches up to 24.8MP with f/2.0 aperture, AI beautify and support for facial unlock. The device retains the 12MP (f/1.8) + 13MP (f/2.4) dual rear camera setup.
The more affordable Symphony Edition also has the same size as the OG Vivo X23 with its 6.41-inch FHD+ 19.5:9 Halo FullView display with 91.27% screen-to-body ratio, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port, in-display fingerprint sensor. It arrives in two gradient colour choices – Artic Morning and Starry Night Ocean.
The Vivo X23 Symphony Edition is now on pre-order for CNY 2,798 (US$ 400/€UR 355) and is expected to ship starting November 23 in China.
