Vivo X30, Vivo X30 Pro Debut with Exynos 980, Funtouch OS 10

Vivo has unveiled its new flagship series – the Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro at an event in China. The pair have the same 6.44-inch Full HD+ 20:9 Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with a punch-hole notch that measures 2.98mm (same as the Vivo V17) and houses the 32MP (f/2.45) selfie camera, rear glass back, internal liquid cooling system and in-display fingerprint sensor.

Both models come pre-loaded with Funtouch OS 10 (based on Android 9.0 Pie) and are powered by Samsung’s new premium Exynos 980 (2x Cortex-A77 CPU + 6x Cortex-A55 cores) 8nm octa-core processor, which has an integrated 5G connectivity (supports SA and NSA modes) and Mali-G76 GPU. Power is supplied by a 4,350mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging via USB-C port.

For photography, the Vivo X30 Pro has a quad camera system which includes a main 64MP (f/1.8) camera paired with an 8MP (f/2.2) 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, 32MP (f/2.0) Portrait lens with 50mm focal length and 13MP (f/3.0) Periscope lens for 5X Optical zoom and 60X digital zoom. The X30 has the same set of cameras as the Pro model with the exclusion of the 13MP periscope lens.The camera setup also includes laser auto-focus and features such as Super Night Mode 2.0, Moon Photos mode, Super HDR, slow motion, time-lapse, AI beauty and 4K video.

The X30/X30 Pro packs only 8GB of RAM with either 128GB or 216GB built-in storage and arrives in Black, Liliac-ish Silver and Peach colour options. The base X30 (8GB + 128GB) costs CNY 3,298 and the 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 3,598 while the base X30 Pro (8GB + 128GB) costs CNY 3,998 and the 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 4,298.
