Vivo X5Max+ with 5.1mm thin body and 2300mAh battery announced.

Vivo has announced an updated version to one of the slimmest smartphone around – the Vivo X5Max; the Vivo X5Max+ comes with a more thicker body and an improved battery.

The super slim X5Max came with a 4.45mm thin body, 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, dual SIM slots, 13MP main camera, 2000mAh battery and octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor. The device has however been criticised for over-heating issues and an underwhelming battery life.

The Vivo X5Max+ looks to have conquered the overheating issues and comes with a more beefier 2300mAh battery. It keeps the same body build but is more thicker at 5.1mm and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 with 1.7GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The device otherwise keeps most of the features of its predecessor – the 13MP camera is still present same as the 5.5-inch OGS Full HD AMOLED screen, a microSD slot, 16GB space of internal storage and runs on Android 4.4.4 with Funtouch OS2.0.

The Vivo X5Max+ cost the same as the X5Max at $480 (CNY 2999). It is expected to be available in the Chinese market first.
