Vivo X5S announced with 64-bit Octa-core processor and 6.3mm thin Aluminium body

Vivo has announced the ‎Vivo X5S – successor to the Vivo X5; the device went official earlier today with some improvement in specifications over its predecessor but keeps the same slim (6.3mm thin) aluminium metal body. 

It is available in Gold and White colour options for a price tag of CNY 2899 (approx. US$ 482) in China starting January 13th. 

The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 Cortex-A53 processor with ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage. The Vivo X5S has an Hybrid Dual SIM slots with Dual standby, one of the SIM slot (the second) also sserves as the microSD card slot.

The device comes with support for 4G LTE, 3G WCDMA and 2G GSM networks.‎


It uses the same 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with a rear facing 13-megapixels camera, front facing 5-megapixels camera and standard connectivity options such as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and USB OTG. The Vivo X5S runs on Android Kitkat OS and packs a 2250mAh battery which should last some hours of usage. ‎‎

It is also said to feature the HiFi Audio equipment – the CS4398 DAC to enhances the sound quality, the Yamaha YSS205 professional signal processing chips and KTV VOD system.

The 4.75mm thin Vivo X5 Max is also said to be available for sale for $525 in China.
